James Beard Award–nominated chef and cookbook author Todd Richards and Bertony Faustin, founder of Abbey Creek Winery, come together for a one-night mixer celebrating the upcoming opening of Todd’s newest restaurant, Que-riosity. Their connection began through Chef Stephan Durand and deepened during Bertony’s appearance on Todd’s Root, Heart & Soul podcast, where shared values around culture, craft, and community became clear. Todd’s Southern-rooted, globally informed culinary voice meets Bertony’s boundary-pushing approach to wine—using it as a tool to bring people together and move culture forward. This evening is a reflection of that alignment: thoughtful, intentional, and built around good food, good wine, and real connection.

Guest Chef Mel Archuleta of Bar Carlo brings her Mexican-American brunch to The Crick. Bar Carlo is known for comfort-driven dishes inspired by San Diego, Tijuana, and laid-back family meals, focused on familiar flavors over fine dining.
