At The Crick, we love bringing in fresh voices that know how to cook from the soul. This time, we’re teaming up with guest Chef Mel Archuleta of Bar Carlo for a brunch experience that blends comfort, culture, and that signature Crick ease.
Bar Carlo is known across Southeast Portland for its playful, inventive take on Mexican-American brunch. Think dishes rooted in heritage, shaped and inspired by Chef Mel’s memories of relaxed family meals in San Diego and Tijuana. It’s food that feels familiar yet surprising, warm yet vibrant — the kind you savor in good company.

Communal table tickets are sold as individual seats. Table seating chart is pre-arranged by staff. Coming with a group? Let us know so we can seat you together! Or inquire if you'd like to purhcase an individual 4 top table. As always, every brunch event at The Crick includes your first glass of signature Abbey Crek wine, sangria, or Mimosa.
